IQ test 2008

Yesterday they broadcast the National IQ test, like they have been doing for years. I did do that test a some years ago and wanted to do it last year, but then I missed a few questions. This time I was ready and armed with my paper and pencil. Bring it on.

In the studio they brought together groups of people that had to compete against each other. There were BN’ers (celebs) , brokers,  soccer women, gifted children, brass band members and hypnotised people. Guess which group won… (answer below)

The test consisted of 57 questions in 4 categories and took about 1 hour and a little, but that’s cause it was on TV and they interviewed people of those groups every now and then, about how the test was going.

This time they build in some ‘nasty’ stuff to throw people off track. In the category memory, they first showed a piece of film, but then you didn’t get questions about that, no of course not. :P So then they started throwing in some ID cards of students and got questions about that, then they showed some more stuff and then the lights went out.

Olé, now what. Kids screaming and starting to count, the host asking how long it will take, answer 40 secs. They blabbered their time full and pooffffff the lights went back on. More questions about stuff before the blackout, how sweet… Then a question what did the guy’s shirt say in the film and how long did the host said the lights would stay off… nasty, but thank God my memory is good.

I must say I didn’t do bad at all, I had a grand total of 4 faults, which means I had 53 of the 57 questions answered correctly. Which gave me a score of: 139 Woooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooo

The Dutch people on average scored an IQ of 113 which was 1 less then last year.

The gifted children scored 104, which is not bad considering their ages (the youngest were about 7 or 8 years old) and the fact that they made a test for adult people.

And the group with the highest IQ was the hypnotised people. Surprised? I wasn’t…

  1. I’m 15. I took the test 1 year ago and i scored 145. Does it means that i will have even bigger iq when i grow up?

  2. I’m not a prof in IQ tests or so. I don’t know if your IQ can actually grow… maybe if you train your brain enough it might. I do know that results may vary when you take more IQ tests. I’ve done quite a few over the years and the results usually are between 136 & 143 somewhere in my own language. In other languages the results may vary a lot depending how good you are in that other language… :)

  3. OK thanks. I took the English IQ test and i live in Croatia. I will take real IQ test here and see how ill be. I will let you know :D

  4. You’re very welcome. I did an IQ test myself in Dutch (my own language), English, German and French. Where I scored 108+ with the French test, but well my French also really sucks  That would be nice to see how high your ‘Croatian IQ’ is. :D Good luck for when you do that test.

  5. IQ tests will give u varying results each time you do them, and with each different test. they are in no way accurate, they just provide a general zone of intelligence in comparison to others of similar educational backgrounds.
