120 traffic jams with a total length of 888 kilometers

Madness? Nah it’s just depends on the weather I suppose.

At 08.30 am yesterday the jams reached a top of 888 kilometers divided over 120 different ones. The weather was quite bad (lots of snow) and it was Easter weekend, so they warned about the roads getting really busy. Lots of accidents and chaos.

You would think that if people get warned in advance they try to avoid those ‘crowded’ times, but well I guess they didn’t.

The only time it was even worse, was on the 8 of February 1999. Back then there were 60 jams with a total length of 975 kilometers.
